LASER HAIR REMOVAL

withcynosure

Almost everyone has unwanted hair somewhere on their body. Traditional hair removal routines can be tedious, painful and expensive over time; shaving may last a day or two, waxing a couple of weeks, but none of those last forever – and therein lies the true beauty of laser hair removal. Laser hair removal is permanent. It works on medium and dark colored hair. The same areas on both men and women can benefit from laser hair removal. The total number of treatments required is based on your hair color and type, body area, and skin tone.

We recommend laser as a more cost-effective solution for hair removal. We offer flat rate, per treatment pricing up front and no high-pressure sales tactics as other places do.

We use only the very best equipment in the industry. Cynosure’s Elite Aesthetic Workstation is the most comprehensive laser hair removal system available today. Since it’s designed for all skin types, we can treat the broadest range of clients. The laser hair removal equipment provides long-term results for permanent hair reduction.

WAXING OR LASER TREATMENT

Which is best for hair removal?

  • Both methods work well, and there are different benefits for both.
  • Laser hair removal is permanent vs. waxing needs to be maintained
  • Waxing gives instant results, vs. a laser hair treatment where a series of 6 – 8 treatments is standard.
  • Laser hair removal works best on dark hair. Waxing works for blonde and light hair types too.
  • They have about the same level of temporary discomfort during treatment.
  • Cost is slightly higher for laser hair removal compared to waxing

LASER HAIR REMOVAL PRICELIST

Skin Deep & Beyond Day Spa in Tualatin offers laser hair removal and waxing for body and facial hair. Our laser hair removal pricing is a flat rate, per treatment, as low as $49 per visit. This pricing structure for laser hair removal allows our clients the opportunity try laser hair removal one time or until all the hair is gone. It takes on average five treatments to permanently remove hair. Lighter skin and darker hair usually require the fewest treatments. Laser Hair removal is not suitable for blond or grey hair.

We ask that our clients shave the area being treated 3 days before the appointment because the target for the laser is the hair follicle below the skin that is in the active hair growth phase. Follow up appointments are regularly scheduled every 4-6 weeks apart.

    • FAQ’s

Laser hair removal can remove unwanted hair faster and more efficiently than traditional methods. You can have confidence in our safe and effective laser hair removal treatments administered by our highly skilled and licensed laser technicians. We have been in the laser hair removal business since 2005.

    • How does it work?

To eliminate hair, the laser emits gentle pulses of energy that pass through the skin to the hair follicle. This energy is then absorbed into the hair follicle to destroy it so that is unlikely to grow there again.

    • Am I a candidate for laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal can be applied to all areas of the body and on all light types of skin (type 1-3).

    • What hair colors does the laser work for?

The treatments are most effective for lighter skin and darker hair. It is not suitable for blond or gray hair. Please contact us for a complimentary consultation to see if laser hair removal is right for you.

    • Is laser hair removal painful?

Our unique cooling system keeps the skin surface cool during the treatment, which reduces the laser sensation and helps reduce irritation. The laser treatment causes only minimal discomfort; patients report a feeling similar to a soft snap of a rubber band. Check with your doctor if the over-the-counter OTC lidocaine numbing cream can be used before the laser hair removal treatment for sensitive skin or hair removal in sensitive areas.

    • What are the side effects?

Slight redness or localized swelling can occasionally occur, but this usually subsides within the first 24 hours after treatment.

    • How many laser hair treatments are required?

Complete hair reduction will typically happen in 6-8 treatments, though this number will vary from person to person based on skin tone, hair color, hair density and several other factors. Your laser technician will talk to you about variables that may affect your individual results.

    • How often do I need treatments

For best results, we recommend treatments spaced 4 – 6 weeks apart.

    • How long does it last?

The hair removal is permanent. However, due to individual growth cycles, you may need a touch-up treatment two to three years after the initial series.

    • How long after waxing or tweezing can I get laser hair removal?

      4 weeks
